Okay, so I don't actually write it down, but I think of a lot of fan fiction scenarios. Usually involving just adding a character based on me into the series I'm watching. Since most of those series also include fantasy settings with the characters having unique abilities, mine would have them too. The longest one involves Stargate Sg1. Although other series include Smallville, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Merlin, Doctor Who, Gilmore Girls, MacGyver, Mash.. Lab Rats. A downside for my husband is that I end up watching these shows/movies over and over and over and over and.... well you get the idea. The general theme of the abilities I tend to give my characters include clairvoyance, empathetic abilities, healing, and visions. Maybe I should actually write the episodes I've thought of for these shows. It might help keep the creative flow going. Would also be something of a creative outlet for me. I think I will start that actually. So stay tuned!

Moving the story along...
Okay, so unfortunately still haven't been doing much writing lately as much as imagining new stories and planning them in my head. Which, many times is the farthest I get, to be honest. I guess I just really like the "what if" stage. There's always so many possibilities. But figuring out how to put those possibilities on the page in a way that would be coherent, entertaining, and believable is part of what's so hard. I tend to get so fixated on the details of planning the plot that I lose the mood to actually write it. Then once I get to the writing, I get a good enough hook in there, a good intro into what the story is going to be, the characters involved, that sort of thing. But a chapter or two in, I have to figure out how to keep progressing the story in an interesting way, without too much obvious exposition, and without going too fast in the plot. And finding a way to make it feel natural to the story. I'm sure there will be other problems that present themselves once I get that point. I have no idea how to get what I write published as a novel once I actually finish one for starters. But honestly, at this point I would just love to be able to get past that point. If anyone has any tips or suggestions, would love if you would comment below with that.

Busy week
Okay, so very busy week, and very emotional. My mother has cancer, and will be having surgery early next week. My kids drove me crazy all week, as usual, and watching a lot of Lab Rats, which surprisingly has spawned a lot of story lines in my head about Chase. What can I say? He's a cute kid who I think wasn't able to shine as much as he could've with his brother picking on him all the time. Honestly, most of the story lines I come up with for tv shows include throwing in a new character based on me. How would it effect the dynamics of any relationship on the show? How would my character react to these situations? What situations might happen as a result of my character being added to the series? What situations might not happen at all? How would I develop this and other characters so they aren't one dimensional and continue to grow as the series continues? All things I continue to think of almost any time I watch a tv show for any length of time. Gotta say though, Chase is cute. :)

Not writing related
Okay, so this isn't really related to writing, but I just found out today that my mother has cancer. So if you pray, I'd appreciate the prayers.

Story Brainstorming
Hello! My name is Amber Campisi. This blog is meant to be a place for those with writers block to just brainstorm ideas for their next project, no matter the size, content (although, please keep in blog content PG-13) subject, or platform to be published. If you have writer's block and are looking for ideas, come here and bounce ideas off the walls or off of anyone who chooses to look here. This is to be a soundboard, drawing board, or even just venting about how badly writer's block SUCKS. Cause we all know that feeling. If you wish, follow me on twitter at https://twitter.com/sassylass84.
