Cleaning this up a bit
Okay, so this is one of my firsts blogs, and I've recently learned some new things I can try that could hopefully clean up the appearance of these pages. So I hope to try that in the near future. Hope you think it looks better.

Order for Lab Rats fan fic
OK so since I've been editing a bit at times in these episodes and publishing again, I'll list the order these are supposed to be read in.
No Turning Back (Bionics Exiled)
Collateral Damage (original)
Taken (Douglas Steps Up)
Three Minus Bree (Bree's Fallout)
Which Father Knows Best? (Douglas Steps In)
Collateral Damage (original)
Taken (Douglas Steps Up)
Three Minus Bree (Bree's Fallout)
Which Father Knows Best? (Douglas Steps In)
I'll add where new episodes are supposed to go in that order as I write them. Either way, please comment to let me know what you think of them.

Last of Lab Rats, so far... (Ep. Which Father Knows Best?)
Bit more Lab Rats fan fic (Ep. Three Minus Bree)
This one takes place in the episode right after that. Three Minus Bree. I'd hoped to look a bit more at both sides of the story here. Don't know if you agree with it or not, but this is my take on it.
More Lab Rats Fan Fic (EP. Taken)
Lab Rats Fan Fic, Collateral Damage (original)
This is the piece I was talking about that doesn't have an episode title because it wasn't based on an episode. Again I hope you like it. It takes place immediately after the events in Bionics Exiled.
Lab rats Fan Fic (EP. No Turning Back, Sink or Swim parts 1 & 2)
Finally back! Sorry its been so long, I actually forgot about this blog for quite a while, but I'm back, and with some of that fan fic I've been writing. This is of the show Lab Rats. I hope you enjoy it. I'll include my title and that of the episode its following. This does include a character based on me that would be closer to their age. I'll be posting them in the order they take place, although one of the pieces I wrote won't include a title of the episode, because it wasn't based on an episode. First piece: based on three episodes (No Turning Back, Sink or Swim parts 1 and 2) re-titled Bionics Exiled. You'll find the link on the right.

First FAN FIC
Okay, so I've written my first fan fic. Its not done, not by a long shot, but it is a start. Its basically, what if the team of Stargate SG1 got stuck in one of my favorite video games? World of Warcraft. What classes would they play? What would they do in the world? How would they fit together as a team in that world? The part I have been able to write, lets call it chapter one, is just them finding themselves on the character creation screen and having to choose their characters before they are logged out for inactivity, but since at the moment they are purely digital, they don't want to find out what "logged out" means for them.
Stargate SG1/World of Warcraft Mashup
Chapter One:
“Whoa!”
Jack wheeled around on his heels, still trying to grip his P90 that was no
longer in his hands. Noticing this he dropped his hands in an aggravated gesture,
muttering “I hate it when that happens…” Sam, Daniel, Tealc, and Emma looked
similarly confused and aggravated as they evaluated their…. Lack of surroundings.
They found themselves in seemingly empty space, reminding Jack of some of their
experiences on Asgard planets, like Cimmeria or K’Tau where the room they were
teleported to held practically nothing. But here, there really was nothing, not
even an obvious floor. It was like walking on a solid surface of….. air. “Alright,
Carter? What’s goin’ on here?”
“I … don’t
know sir. I have no idea where we are or how we got here.” Carter put her hands
on her hips as she looked around the … room? “I don’t even remember exactly
what I was doing before we got here.” She looked to the others who gave agreeing
nods and shrugs.
Jack
gave a short nod to Carter, pursed his lips and slipped his hands in his
pockets. “Okaaaay.” Looking all around, then up, he considered a moment before
yelling “Hello! I dunno who you are, but what’s next here?” He tipped his head,
waiting for some kind of response before slightly lowering his head to check
his friends reactions.
A flash
of light came before they found themselves inside a city made almost entirely
of crystal, with small thumbnail pictures of different faces from different
races, male and female, floating above them, and other thumbnail pictures off
to either side of the group that made no sense to them. Well, most of them.
Emma seemed familiar with them somehow, but still a bit confused. “Emma? Do you
know where we are?”
Still
looking puzzled, she nodded. “It … at least looks
like the character creation screen in World of Warcraft, the video game I’ve
been playing.”
Daniel
held up a finger on one hand. “Wait a minute… Are you saying we’re in a video
game?”
Emma
shrugged, still thoughtful, and looking at the floating images surrounding them.
“That’s what it looks like anyway. I mean, these are the races you have the
option to play,” she gestured to the pictures of the races, “and those are the
classes those races have the choice to play,” she finished, pointing to the
other images.
“Alright,
how could that happen?” Jack asked incredulously.
“Without
more information, I’m not sure sir.” Carter replied thoughtfully.
Silent
until now, Tealc finally spoke. “O’Neil… you will want to see this.” Jack
walked over to his friend and followed his gaze to words scrolling in a circle
on the floor. You will be logged out for
inactivity in twenty-four minutes, the message read, circling over and
over.
“Carter-“
Jack started.
Daniel
cleared his throat. “Um, Sam, what happens if we’re ‘logged out’ but we’re
physically in the game?” The question
came out in his usual rushed voice, slightly more rushed since it also had a hint
of panic to it.
Sam
winced. “Don’t think we should wait to find out.”
Daniel
gestured in a kind of moving forward sign. “Okay… so what do we do from here?:
“We
choose characters and enter the game?” Emma suggested turning to the others.
Tealc-
as usual, the calmest of the group- pointed out the obvious, again as usual. “You
are the only one of us who has any knowledge of this game. How are we to choose
characters without it?” he asked, his eyebrow showing the only amount of
expression on his face.
Emma
tipped her head a bit considering. “Well, I think I’ve played enough of this
game to be able to choose characters that would suit your personalities and
have a well-rounded group for the game. And we are limited on time, so I suggest that.” Everyone either shrugged
or nodded agreement. Tealc’s nod was simply his token slight bow of
acknowledgement, but gave the idea. “Okay, I’m not sure if we’ll be in the game
long enough for it or not, but I think we should at least be prepared to have
to go into dungeons. So we’ll need-“
Jack
interrupted. “Excuse me, dungeons?”
Emma
shook her head. “Not like medieval castle dungeons or prisons or anything. They’re
… special quests that take you to a separate part of the game…. Harder levels
that you need a group for.” Since that seemed to satisfy him, she went on. “We’ll
need a tank- a character to be able to take the brunt of the damage, and keep
all the enemies focused on them.”
Tealc
stepped forward. “I volunteer.”
Emma
nodded. “Figured that. Your best bet for that is a paladin. They’re basically
holy warriors with a lot of taunts, plate armor, and emergency heals. The
taunts keep the enemies focused on them. Oh, also, at level ten, everyone gets
to pick a talent specialization, depending on how they want to play their
character. When the time comes, you need to choose protection.” Tealc rose his
eyebrow slightly before giving another slight bow and shifting away slightly
since the focus was no longer on him. “We’ll also need a healer, which I’ve
done a lot of. And fairly good at it, if I do say so myself. So I’ll be a
druid. The rest of the group is typically dps- damage per second. Jack-“ she
turned to Jack with a slight smile. “One of those classes is hunter. You get a
pet, get to shoot stuff, track a number of different enemies, and the ammo
never runs out.”
“Oh
yeah?” Her description seemed to be agreeing with him.
“Yeah,
it used to, but they changed that in one of the expansions. Also, you used to
have to wait till level ten to get the pet, but now you start with a pet right
away.”
“Okay.
What kind of pet do I get?” he asked, his eyebrows with interest.
Her
head tipped a bit again, with a slight grimace. “That depends on what race we choose. But we’ll have to pick classes
first, cause not all classes are available for each race, they all have their
specialties.” His face fell a bit, but he kept listening.
Daniel
spoke up. “What about us?” he asked motioning to him and Sam.
Emma
stepped a little closer to the two scientists. “I always thought Sam would be a
good mage. For one thing, the base stat you need to watch as a mage is
intelligence, and you obviously have a lot of that. One good thing about mages,
in later levels, if we get to those levels, can make portals to the major
cities, or can teleport themselves. They can also summon food and water.” Sam
pursed her lips slightly and gave something like a nod. “Daniel… “ she paused
to think, biting her lip slightly. “You might be a good shaman. For one thing,
it might be a good thing to have a backup healer. But depending on the talent
specialization, you can also do wicked dps.”
“How
does shaman work exactly?” he asked, seeming to pinch the air in front of him
and squinting.
Emma
winced. “Honestly? That’s the one I know the least about. I know you work with
the elements, and with totems. But there are a lot of people who know how to do
it well. Including a very good friend of mine. So we could probably ask him in
game. But I do think you’d be good at
it, and could figure it out.”
“Okay,
so that’s all the classes figured out, what about races?” Sam asked.
Emma
thought for a minute again. “I think we should try to stay at least in the same
general area. Same part of the world anyway. And the only two races that can
play druid are night elf and worgen, but worgen are extremely isolated, so that
leaves me with night elf. Which is what I would prefer for that anyway.
Luckily, hunters and mages are pretty much available to …. I think almost every
alliance race. Paladins are available to humans, dwarves, and draeni. Their capital
city is only a boat ride away from night elf lands. A very short boat ride at
that. And shaman are only available to draeni and dwarves. I think jack and I
could start out as night elves, and the three of you could start as dreani.”
Yellow
lights started flashing lightly from the floor, and the message circling the
floor started flashing as well as circling, now reading, You will be logged out for inactivity in fifteen minutes.
Emma
started talking faster. “You guys should be able to figure things out on your
own. Quests are given by people all over the world, you’ll find yellow question
marks over their heads. When you’re done, it’ll change to a yellow question
mark, and they’ll give you rewards. Either currency or armor or useful items. Mages
wear cloth armor, Shaman wear….. leather, I think, and Paladins wear Chainmail,
at least till you hit a certain level, then shaman wear chainmail and Paladins
wear plate armor. As you level up, you’ll learn new spells automatically. A lot
of the stuff, it might give you tips on what you’re doing, assuming you’re a
new player.”
Sam
held her hand out in front of her, asking for a minute. “If we’re in separate areas,
how do we find you later?”
“Every
race has a starting area. Draeni and Night elves are failry close. Until about
level twelve, you’ll do quests in your own area. Once you hit that level, there’s
a boat by the main city Exodar that’ll take you to Rutherin Village. Exodar is
the city that looks like this one here.” She gestured to their surroundings. “We’ll
meet you at Rutherin Village and move on from there. Both races have to go
through there to move on anyway.”
They
all nodded before Sam pointed out one more thing. “Won’t we need some kind of
screen name in the game?”
Emma
searched her memory a minute. “Oh yeah.” She checked the message on the floor.
They were down to about seven minutes. “Okay… we’re short on time… wait, does
everyone remember when we were in that underground city, under the ice and they’d
put memory stamps on us?” Everyone nodded slightly. “Do you remember the names
you had?”
Daniel
nodded. “Yeah, I was Karlan, Sam was Thera, Tealc was Tor, Jack was Jonah and
you were Evellyn.”
Emma nodded back. “Yeah, lets use
those. How about it?” Everyone else nodded agreement, except jack, who simply
shrugged. “okay, So that’s decided. By the way, don’t turn down any bags. The
more bag space you have, the better off you are. We should be able to add each
other as friends in game and talk to each other.”
“How?” Daniel asked. No one had
time to answer though, because everyone seemed to have a button in front of
them with their class, race and names over them, reading “confirm”.
“We’re running out of time. Hit
confirm, and we should be able to figure it out in there.” The lights around
them started flashing red, and everyone rushed to hit their buttons. As they
did, each saw a blinding flash of light before being distributed in the game.

Starting Fan Fiction
Okay, in my last entry, I mentioned the possibility of actually starting to write Fan Fiction. I have pretty much decided to go ahead and start that, though, I'm not sure which series I'm going to start with. However, this is a list of the shows/movies you might see on here in the future in the form of fan fiction:
Stargate SG1- Also the Stargate movie with Kurt Russel and David Spader
Smallville
Merlin
Doctor Who
Star Wars
Indiana Jones
Harry Potter (probably just clips, scenes scattered through the series)
I may add to that list, I might not, and might choose to start a separate web page to put these fan fics on and simply provide a link to the latest additions. Either way, I think this might be a good way to keep the creative juices flowing by writing about established series while I ponder my own stories for a while. Possibly keep that dreaded Writer's Block at bay for a while. Hope you like what you read.

Fan Fics
Okay, so I don't actually write it down, but I think of a lot of fan fiction scenarios. Usually involving just adding a character based on me into the series I'm watching. Since most of those series also include fantasy settings with the characters having unique abilities, mine would have them too. The longest one involves Stargate Sg1. Although other series include Smallville, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Merlin, Doctor Who, Gilmore Girls, MacGyver, Mash.. Lab Rats. A downside for my husband is that I end up watching these shows/movies over and over and over and over and.... well you get the idea. The general theme of the abilities I tend to give my characters include clairvoyance, empathetic abilities, healing, and visions. Maybe I should actually write the episodes I've thought of for these shows. It might help keep the creative flow going. Would also be something of a creative outlet for me. I think I will start that actually. So stay tuned!

Moving the story along...
Okay, so unfortunately still haven't been doing much writing lately as much as imagining new stories and planning them in my head. Which, many times is the farthest I get, to be honest. I guess I just really like the "what if" stage. There's always so many possibilities. But figuring out how to put those possibilities on the page in a way that would be coherent, entertaining, and believable is part of what's so hard. I tend to get so fixated on the details of planning the plot that I lose the mood to actually write it. Then once I get to the writing, I get a good enough hook in there, a good intro into what the story is going to be, the characters involved, that sort of thing. But a chapter or two in, I have to figure out how to keep progressing the story in an interesting way, without too much obvious exposition, and without going too fast in the plot. And finding a way to make it feel natural to the story. I'm sure there will be other problems that present themselves once I get that point. I have no idea how to get what I write published as a novel once I actually finish one for starters. But honestly, at this point I would just love to be able to get past that point. If anyone has any tips or suggestions, would love if you would comment below with that.

Busy week
Okay, so very busy week, and very emotional. My mother has cancer, and will be having surgery early next week. My kids drove me crazy all week, as usual, and watching a lot of Lab Rats, which surprisingly has spawned a lot of story lines in my head about Chase. What can I say? He's a cute kid who I think wasn't able to shine as much as he could've with his brother picking on him all the time. Honestly, most of the story lines I come up with for tv shows include throwing in a new character based on me. How would it effect the dynamics of any relationship on the show? How would my character react to these situations? What situations might happen as a result of my character being added to the series? What situations might not happen at all? How would I develop this and other characters so they aren't one dimensional and continue to grow as the series continues? All things I continue to think of almost any time I watch a tv show for any length of time. Gotta say though, Chase is cute. :)

Not writing related
Okay, so this isn't really related to writing, but I just found out today that my mother has cancer. So if you pray, I'd appreciate the prayers.

Story Brainstorming
Hello! My name is Amber Campisi. This blog is meant to be a place for those with writers block to just brainstorm ideas for their next project, no matter the size, content (although, please keep in blog content PG-13) subject, or platform to be published. If you have writer's block and are looking for ideas, come here and bounce ideas off the walls or off of anyone who chooses to look here. This is to be a soundboard, drawing board, or even just venting about how badly writer's block SUCKS. Cause we all know that feeling. If you wish, follow me on twitter at https://twitter.com/sassylass84.
